How it started

Like many, I thought buying a rifle would be simple.

Find one in my budget. Read a mountain of reviews. Watch enough YouTube videos to earn an honorary gunsmithing degree. Compare calibers, barrel lengths, optics, twist rates, and argue with strangers on internet forums who were all somehow "experts."

Eventually, I made my decision.

I walked into my local sporting goods store, bought the rifle, had them mount an optic, grabbed an embarrassing amount of factory ammunition, and headed to the range expecting to be ringing steel and punching tiny groups.

Instead, I got a loose optic from improper mounting, inconsistent accuracy, and an education in frustration that cost far more than the rifle itself.

Then came the cycle every shooter knows too well.

"Maybe it just doesn't like this ammo."

"Maybe the barrel needs to break in."

"Maybe I need a different trigger."

"Maybe I just suck."

Hundreds of dollars in ammunition. Countless hours at the range. More trips back to the store than I'd like to admit. Every fix uncovered another compromise. Somewhere along the way I realized I wasn't trying to build a better rifle—I was trying to fix one I had already paid for and that felt backwards.

At Vantage Rifleworks, we believe your rifle should fit your purpose from day one—not after months of trial and error. We handle the research, sourcing, assembly, and final setup so you spend your weekends hunting and shooting instead of just troubleshooting. Because the most expensive rifle is usually the one you buy twice. Wouldn't it be nice to get it right the first time?

Brody and Statler have been friends since the seventh grade. Long before there was a business, there were hunting trips, range days, camping weekends, backpacking adventures, and plenty of conversations that probably should've ended with, "That's a terrible idea." Somehow, most of them worked out.

Firearms and the outdoors have always been part of who they are. Before Vantage Rifleworks, Brody successfully operated Lobo Firearms for years, earning the trust of customers as a local FFL. When they decided to join forces, they didn't just change the name—they expanded the mission.

Today, Vantage Rifleworks combines decades of shared experience with a relentless pursuit of accuracy. Whether you're buying your first hunting rifle, building the custom rifle you've always wanted, or squeezing every last bit of performance from the one you already own, our goal is simple: help you skip the frustration we went through and get it right the first time.
